Matthew is in need of a sponsor…
Matthew is the son of Rose, a housemother at another Children’s Home which has now had to close due to lack of funds. He is also half brother to Jeff who transfered to CBCH at the same time. The boys are half brothers, but are very close. Sadly, Rose was abandoned by both her husbands and as far as we know the boys have no contact with them (we’re not sure if either is still living).
Matthew enjoys board games, playing football and swimming. He likes school and doing his homework and his results are showing the fruits of his labour. He is a very responsible little boy and is good at looking after the chickens at CBCH – he fastens them in at night and lets them out in the morning. He enjoys wrestling with his brother Jeff and wants to be a sports car driver when he is older (but definitely not a policeman, he says!). He likes watching cartoons and wildlife programmes, playing football at school, telling stories to his friends and playing in water when the weather is very hot.
It costs, on average, £1850 per year to care for a child with food, clothes, the safe shelter of the Home and school fees and books. If you would like to sponsor Matthew, please complete the form opposite and get in touch. There is no minimum monthly donation but we rely on people like you to help keep the Home going to ensure Matthew will indeed have a safe and happy home throughout the rest of her childhood and that when he leaves us he will have the skills for a successful life ahead, finally breaking the cycle of poverty through misfortune, poor education and few resources. Please get in contact, Matthew would love to have his own sponsor and stay in touch with you with news and stories about his life and be able to tell you all about how he is doing at school and with his friends at the Children’s Home.
