Samuel is a total orphan, his mother passed away in 2012…
…and his father has no contact. He had been under the care of his maternal grandmother (a widow) who also then passed away leaving him in the care of his only surviving aunt. She herself is a widow and has children of her own to support, one of whom is severely disabled and needs around the clock care. Without a sustainable source of income to support her family, they live in dire poverty and regularly go without food. Samuel is reported to have often gone missing in search of places where he can possibly get something to eat, mostly within the local neighbourhood but sometimes further afield. He was at high risk of falling victim to street life and child trafficking and his aunt finally sought help from the Children’s Department who placed him with us at CBCH.
Despite a visual impairment in his right eye, Samuel is generally in good health and based on academic reports and from what we have seen first hand, he is a bright child and is certainly able to attain a high level of achievement in his education given the necessary support. We aim to help him as much as we are financially able. He loves playing ball games with his new family at CBCH.
Our challenge is to find sponsors for all of our new children and we eagerly pray and wait for a committed and caring supporter to step forward for Samuel, who will help support him, pray for him and enable him to receive what has been so desperately missing from his young life so far. If this is you, please get in contact, Samuel would love to have his own sponsor and stay in touch with you with news and stories about his life and be able to tell you all about how he’s doing at school and with his new family at the Children’s Home.
There is no minimum monthly amount to sponsor a child but having someone who cares enough to be their monthly sponsor means a great deal to the children and to us in supporting our work so that the Children’s Home can continue. To get in touch please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or complete our form opposite.
