GIFTS OF LOVE
Shoes, uniforms, chickens, seeds, lunches, and disability – what do all these have in common?
They were all part of your generous “Alternative Christmas Giving” to our children and their caregivers in Kisumu.
68 “Alternative Gifts,” with shoes for school and daily lunches for hungry children topping the list, raised a vital £1,400, nearly our record.
One long-term supporter told us how her Bible Study/Lunch Group (oldest being 93!) had surprised her. At their first meeting of the year, the Group presented her with a completely unexpected amazing gift of £250 to which they had secretly contributed for the children of Kisumu. Their surprise gift would cover two of everything from the Catalogue.
Children are so happy to receive these practical gifts. On their behalf, we would like to thank all the generous supporters who made this possible.
