A simple gift of water is bringing health, dignity and hope to 350 children in Kisumu.

“There was a time when I was terribly exhausted because there was not enough water for drinking,” one schoolgirl shared.

Today, her school has a reliable supply of clean water — something that is changing everyday life for 350 children.

A new borehole, water tower and solar-powered system now provide water for drinking, cooking, washing hands and keeping classrooms clean. The school has also started vegetable gardens, helping provide fresh food and strengthen food security.

Before this project, the school relied mainly on harvested rainwater. During dry periods, water shortages were common. Children sometimes went through the school day without enough water to drink or wash their hands, and some boys had to leave lessons to collect water from the village.

Now, water is available where it is needed most.

And the blessing reaches beyond the school. During times of drought, the water supply can also provide much-needed help to families in the surrounding community.

Jesus said, “Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones…” (Matthew 10:42).

We are deeply grateful to God and to everyone whose prayers and generosity made this project possible.

What began with a need, a vision, and prayer has become a lasting source of blessing for children and their community.
