In December, a precious baby boy—just one day old—was found abandoned at the gate of Cherry’s Home. We thank and praise God for His protection over this vulnerable life. The baby was immediately taken to the hospital for a full medical examination, and we are grateful to report that he is healthy. Pamela lovingly named him Joel, a name that means “The Lord is God.”
Throughout 2025, twelve children have received care, safety, and protection through CBCH. Cherry’s Home provides short-term care for rescued children while the Children’s Department works to trace families and carefully assess each child’s situation. After this process, a meeting is held to determine the most appropriate next steps—whether reunification with family is possible, placement with extended family is suitable, or referral to another form of care, such as fostering. At present, six children remain under CBCH’s care.
We are happy to share that baby Joel is growing quickly. He is big for his age, very active, and doing well under the loving care he receives.
Caring for a newborn requires great dedication from the Cherry’s Home team, especially Pamela, who is giving daily love, attention, and nurturing to baby Joel. This care also brings additional financial needs, including baby formula, nappies, and clothing. We kindly ask you to keep little Joel in your prayers.
